Critical Zero

Our first show of the year! After a quick hibernation from shows and social activities, we’re back in full force. We started our year of shows at the Bovine Sex Club, which is very fitting, as it is one of our favourite venues in the city. It was not only a show; it was the birthday celebration of Connor from Fuzzed and Buzzed, and Billy from Ol’ Time Moonshine! Two amazing people who are heavily involved in the stoner, metal, and punk scene in Toronto.

The night started with Night Finger, who gave a high-energy, fuzzed-out psych sound with amazing guitar tones, vocal harmonies, and more. It was the perfect start to a great night.

We have to give a huge shout out to Ryan from Black Throne Productions and Strange Matter Light Show for providing psychedelic visuals projected on stage.

Black Budget took the stage shortly after Night Finger, and they gave us 45 minutes of punk, desert, and catchy tunes. A highlight of their set was when they covered Minor Threat’s In My Eyes and Chuck Coles jumped on stage for vocals - it was a wild set!

The headliners, Ol’ Time Moonshine, hit the stage and performed  their heavy blues riffs, sludgy tones, and massive sounds. We last saw them in 2022 and featured them on our YouTube channel - you can check it out here. We strongly recommend seeing Ol’ Time Moonshine live if you like soulful, sludgy, and powerful rock music.

An amazing start to 2026, we look forward to more shows like this one.
